About This Print
Charles François Daubigny (1817–1878) was a leading figure of the Barbizon School, a movement of French painters who turned away from formal, studio-based painting in favour of working directly in nature. Daubigny was particularly drawn to rivers and waterways, often painting from a specially converted boat he called his "studio on the water." His loose, light-filled style was a direct influence on the Impressionists — Monet and Pissarro both admired his work. Bords Du Fleuve, painted in 1873, captures a quiet stretch of river with trees reflected in still water and a soft, cloudy sky above. Calm, unhurried, and quietly beautiful.

All orders are processed within 1-to-2 business days (this excludes weekends and national holidays) of receiving your order confirmation email. You will also receive another notification when your order has been shipped.
We currently only ship to the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. We do not deliver to P.O Boxes, Military addresses and restricted areas. All shipping costs are shown upon checkout.
