About Our Prints

Are these original paintings or reproductions?

These are museum-quality reproductions of historical vintage artworks. The originals reside in museums, private collections, or historical archives. We've carefully restored and reproduced them on archival paper to bring these timeless pieces into your home at an accessible price point.

Who are the artists featured in your collections?

Our collections include works by both known masters and talented artists whose names have been lost to time. Each product listing includes attribution, historical context, and background on the artist and subject where available.

Do you sell digital downloads?

No, we specialise in physical prints only. Each print is professionally produced on archival-quality paper and shipped directly to you, ready for framing and display.

What sizing do you offer?

We offer a range of standard sizes including 6 × 4 in, 5 × 7 in, 8 × 10 in, A4, A3, and A2. For detailed dimensions and to help you choose the right size for your space, please visit our size guide.

Do you offer custom sizing?

Yes, we do! In addition to our standard sizes, we offer custom sizing to fit any existing frames up to A2 size (42 × 59.4 cm / 16.5 × 23.4 inches). To ensure a perfect fit, please see our guide to measuring your frame and contact us with your requirements.

Quality & Production

What is a giclée print?

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a fine art printing process that uses high-resolution digital imaging and archival-quality inks to create museum-grade reproductions. Unlike standard printing methods, giclée captures exceptional detail, colour accuracy, and tonal depth, preserving the subtle brushwork and texture of the original artwork. The result is a print with superior longevity and visual quality that rivals traditional printmaking techniques.

What printing method and materials do you use?

All prints are produced using giclée printing on 100% cotton archival-quality paper, ensuring colour accuracy, longevity, and museum-grade reproduction standards. This method preserves the subtle tonal variations and brushwork details of the original paintings.

Will the colours fade over time?

Our archival inks and paper are designed for longevity when displayed away from direct sunlight. With proper care, your print will maintain its colour and clarity for decades.

Do the prints come framed?

Our prints are sold unframed to give you the flexibility to choose framing that suits your décor. We recommend professional framing with UV-protective glass or acrylic to preserve the print's quality.

What's the difference between your print quality and a poster?

Our giclée prints use archival inks and fine art paper with superior colour depth, detail, and longevity compared to standard posters. The reproduction process captures the texture and nuance of the original artwork, making them suitable for serious collectors and discerning decorators.

Framing

Do you offer frames?

We don't currently offer frames, but we're excited to be introducing our own line of custom-made frames and curated vintage frames in the near future. Follow us on social media for updates on when these will be available.

Where do you get your frames from?

The frames shown in our product images are a mix of custom-made frames and vintage frames we've personally collected. We use these in mockups to showcase how our prints look when framed, helping you visualise them in your own space.

Can you recommend a framing company?

Whilst we don't have any affiliations with specific framing companies, we recommend seeking out a local professional framer who can advise on the best materials and styles for your print. Look for framers who offer UV-protective glass or acrylic and acid-free mounting materials.

Styling & Placement

Where do vintage prints work best in the home?

Our prints bring character to studies, libraries, gallery walls, bedrooms, reading nooks, nurseries, kitchens, and bathrooms. They're particularly well-suited to traditional, English country cottage, eclectic, and vintage décor styles - anywhere that values history and storytelling.

Do vintage prints work in commercial spaces?

Absolutely. We work with restaurants, pubs, hotels, boutiques, and offices looking to add depth and personality to their interiors. Vintage prints create atmosphere and tell a story, making them ideal for hospitality and retail environments.

Do you offer trade or bulk pricing for businesses?

Yes, we work with restaurants, pubs, hotels, and small businesses requiring multiple prints. Please contact us directly to discuss your project requirements, quantities, and trade pricing options.

Can I mix prints from different eras or styles?

Absolutely. Curating prints from different periods creates visual interest and tells a richer story. Consider grouping by palette, mood, or frame style for a cohesive gallery wall.

How do I choose the right size for my space?

As a general rule, artwork should take up approximately two-thirds to three-quarters of the available wall space above furniture. For gallery walls, lay out your arrangement on the floor first to ensure proper spacing and balance.

Ordering & Shipping

How long will it take to receive my order?

Production typically takes 3-5 business days, with shipping times varying by location. UK orders generally arrive within 5-7 business days from order placement, whilst international orders may take 10-14 business days. You'll receive tracking information once your order ships.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we offer international shipping to most countries. Delivery times and costs vary by location and are calculated at checkout.

How are the prints packaged?

Smaller prints are packed with extra cardboard, weatherproof packaging, and inserted in hardback envelopes. Larger prints are rolled in acid-free tissue paper and inserted in postal tubes to prevent damage during transit.

What if my print arrives damaged?

Whilst we take every precaution to ensure safe delivery, damage can occasionally occur in transit. If your print arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the damage and packaging, and we'll arrange a replacement or refund promptly.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your returns policy?

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you're not happy with your print, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange, provided it's in its original condition. Please contact us to initiate a return.

Can I exchange a print for a different size or design?

Yes, exchanges are welcome within 30 days of delivery. Please contact us to arrange an exchange, and we'll provide instructions for returning your original print.

Who pays for return shipping?

For returns due to damage or errors on our part, we'll cover return shipping costs. For standard returns or exchanges based on personal preference, the customer is responsible for return postage.

Care & Maintenance

How should I care for my print?

Display your print away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and high humidity. When handling unframed prints, hold them by the edges to avoid fingerprints. Professional framing with UV-protective glazing will provide the best long-term protection.

Can I clean my print?

Once framed behind glass or acrylic, simply clean the glazing with appropriate glass cleaner. Never attempt to clean the print surface itself, as this may cause damage. If your unframed print requires cleaning, consult a professional art conservator.
